Building Art Invention re­ceives High­er Ed­u­ca­tion Award for Ex­cel­lence in Teach­ing

Bau Kunst Erfin­d­en wins the Hes­­sian High­­er Ed­u­­ca­­tion Award for Ex­cel­­lence in Teach­ing´s 1st prize. The prize pre­sen­t­ed by the Hes­­sian Min­istry of Sci­ence and Arts and the Her­tie Foun­­da­­tion will be award­ed with 125.000 Eu­­ro. It is there­­fore re­­gard­ed as the most im­­por­­tant award for teach­ing in Ger­­many.

The award ho­n­ours the de­vel­op­­ment and im­­ple­­men­­ta­­tion of ad­­vanced teach­ing con­­cepts and in­­no­­va­­tive meth­ods. The of­­fi­­cial awards cer­e­­mony with the Min­is­ter of Sci­ence and Arts, Eva Kühne-Hör­­mann takes place on 18 De­cem­ber 2012 at the Schloss Bie­brich in Wies­ba­­den.

Ex­cerpt from the ju­ry's pro­to­col: "In an ex­­cep­­tio­n­al work­ing en­vi­ron­­ment, stu­­dents are en­­cour­aged and in­­di­vi­d­u­al­­ly sup­­port­ed in their cre­a­­tiv­i­­ty - to ac­quire new skills and knowl­­edge far be­yond the av­er­age pro­fes­­sio­n­al com­pe­­tence. This pro­­ject has ac­ti­­vat­ed and ex­­tend­ed sig­ni­f­i­­can­t­­ly the re­­sources of the uni­ver­si­­ty."
