Concrete Composites

For the work­shop “Con­crete Com­posites” the ß-Lab, Prof. An­ke Ec­kardt at the Acade­my of Me­dia Arts Cologne (KHM) is co­op­er­at­ing with the trans­di­ci­pli­nary re­search plat­form BAU KUNST ERFIN­D­EN, Fre­de­rik Ecke M.Sc. and Sami­ra Aden M.Sc at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Kas­sel.

Con­crete Com­posite is an ex­per­i­men­tal lec­ture bring­ing in art, ar­chi­tec­ture and ma­te­rials re­search. In the pro­cess of learn­ing trans­dis­ci­pli­nary prin­ci­ples, the stu­dents ex­pe­ri­ence the ma­te­rials con­crete, con­crete form­work, and its di­men­sions. The aim of the ex­per­i­men­tal work­shop is that the stu­dents de­vel­op their own stance to the ma­te­rial con­crete with its spe­cif­ic con­s­traints and pa­ram­e­ters.
